Is there an API for publishers and printers?

Answer

Yes. With the Barcode Rocket API, publishers and printers make barcodes straight from their own title system: one per call, or up to 100 in one call as a ZIP. It uses the same engine as the site, and keys are issued by Barcode Rocket, starting with a trial key.

How to start

  1. Read the API documentation.
  2. Ask for a trial key. It returns the PNG preview only, up to 100 previews a day, so you can connect your system.
  3. When you are ready, we send a live key. It returns print-ready PDFs.

Keep the key on your server and never put it in a web page or an app. If a key leaks, tell us and we revoke it at once.
