Barcode Rocket creates barcode and QR files for authors, designers and publishing teams. It brings the details that matter in print production into one tool: vector artwork, defined ink values and layouts sized for their intended use.
It started with book production and has grown to support product barcodes, logistics codes, batch generation and custom publishing templates.

I’m a book designer and prepress specialist with 25 years of experience in publishing and print production.
My work involves preparing covers and interiors for publication, where a small detail in a file can become a production problem. Barcode preparation is part of that work: checking the number, choosing the layout, setting the color and making sure the artwork fits the space available.
I built Barcode Rocket to make that process more consistent and easier to repeat. What began as a practical production tool is now available to individual users and publishing teams.

A barcode needs to carry the right data and fit into the finished design.
Barcode Rocket generates vector bars and digits, uses 100% K black for black code elements and provides layouts for different production needs. Custom templates can bring together a logo, ISBN, price and QR destination while keeping the branding and code areas separate.
The downloadable examples let you inspect the actual PDF in Illustrator or Acrobat before discussing a template for your own workflow.

Individual users can use Barcode Rocket for small-scale projects within the free usage limits. A free account adds lists of up to 50 at once and a history of generated files.
This gives authors and independent designers a practical way to prepare barcodes without a subscription or credit card.

We agree on the layout, supported data fields and output requirements, then prepare a sample for review. Once approved and set up, the template can support individual generation, batches or integration with your own system.
