Barcode Rocket for Claude
Ask Claude for your book's barcode and get the print-ready file in the chat. Barcode Rocket checks the ISBN and the price code the way a prepress specialist would, then makes the vector PDF in 100% K black, at the right size for KDP, IngramSpark or your printer.
Connect it
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Barcode Rocket and enter the server URL
https://barcoderocket.com/mcp. Leave sign-in on the default. - Ask, for example: "Is 9780306406157 a valid ISBN?" or "Make me a KDP barcode for 9780306406157 at $19.99".
The first time you ask for a PDF, Claude shows a Connect button. Sign in to Barcode Rocket or create a free account (a few seconds), choose Allow, and Claude replies with a download link to the PDF (valid 24 hours). The barcode is also saved in your history on barcoderocket.com.

Free for individual use
- The same free limits as on the site: 20 new barcodes a day; downloading one you already made is free.
- Barcodes made in Claude appear in your history on barcoderocket.com.

Privacy and control
- Claude gets permission to make barcodes on your account, nothing else: not your password, your history or your messages.
- You can disconnect Claude at any time on your account page; it stops at once.

Troubleshooting
- No Connect button when you ask for a PDF: check that the connector is turned on for the chat, then ask again for the PDF.
- "The connection to Barcode Rocket expired": open Customize, then Connectors, and connect Barcode Rocket again.
- The download link no longer works: links last 24 hours. Download the barcode again from your history, free, or ask Claude for the PDF again.
- The daily limit is reached: 20 new barcodes a day; it resets at 00:00 UTC. Barcodes you already made stay free to download.
- "Not valid" for your ISBN: the message says why (number of digits, prefix or check digit). Compare the number with the one your ISBN agency assigned.
- You want to disconnect: on your account page, under Connected apps.
