How are the downloaded files named?
Answer
Barcode Rocket names every PDF after what is inside it: the type, your number, the price code when there is one, and the layout. For example, ISBN-9781402894626-51999-barcoderocket.pdf is an ISBN barcode with the price code 51999. You can find the right file later without opening it.
Examples
| Type | Example file name |
|---|---|
| ISBN with a price | ISBN-9781402894626-51999-barcoderocket.pdf |
| ISBN, no price | ISBN-9781402894626-barcoderocket.pdf |
| KDP layout | ISBN-9781402894626-90000-KDP-barcoderocket.pdf |
| IngramSpark layout | ISBN-9781402894626-IngramSpark-barcoderocket.pdf |
| Connect QR, price | ISBN-9781402894626-51999-ConnectQR-barcoderocket.pdf |
| Connect QR, no price | ISBN-9781402894626-ConnectQR-IngramSpark-barcoderocket.pdf |
| QR code | QR-code-yourbook-com-barcoderocket.pdf |
| QR box | QR-box-connect-with-the-author-yourbook-com-barcoderocket.pdf |
| A list | barcoderocket-12-barcodes.zip |
In a list, each PDF inside the ZIP is named the same way as a single download. The number in the ZIP name is how many barcodes are inside.
Good to know
- Keep the name when you send the file. It tells your designer which barcode it is.
- The price code in the name (51999, 90000) is the price in the barcode, not the price on the cover text.
