Getting started
What does this message in the studio mean?
Answer
Barcode Rocket shows a short message under the picture when something needs your attention. Most messages are about the number (wrong length, wrong start or a wrong last digit), a missing QR link, or a free limit. When something you typed is wrong, the Download button also turns red and names the field to fix.
Number and price
| You see | What it means | What to do |

| You entered 12 digits. An ISBN has 13. | A digit is missing or there is one too many. | Copy the ISBN again from your ISBN agency's record. |
| An ISBN starts with 978 or 979. | This is not an ISBN-13. | Check the number. An old 10-digit ISBN has a 13-digit version that starts with 978. |
| The last digit (check digit) should be 7, not 4. | The last digit does not fit the others. Usually a typo. | Compare every digit with your ISBN record. |
| Fix the price to download (on a red button) | The price cannot go into the price code. | Type it as a number with a dot or a comma, for example 19.99, or leave it empty for 90000. |
| $99.99 cannot be encoded in the price code. | 99.99 is a reserved number. | Use 99.98 or 100.00, or leave the price empty. |

QR codes
